Anytime you require bonding to porcelain you may use this kit.
· Preparation of fractured porcelain or porcelain fused to metal for bonding-single component.
· Preparation of porcelain crowns, veneer and inlay surfaces prior to cementation.
Advantages :
· DentoBond Porcelain Etch is a specially buffered viscous hydrofluoric acid (8%) that will etch porcelains of all types to produce a microscopic porous surface which will produce a strong mechanical interlock with composite resin materials.
· DentoBond Porcelain Silane (97% ethyl alcohol) is a single component silane that enhances bonding values and durability when applied to etched surfaces.
· Odourless.
· Soluble in water.
· Insoluble in organic solvents.
Directions for use
Use protective gloves. Must be carefully used.
Intraoral procedure
· Isolate the area to etch with a rubber dam.
· Intraoral and extraoral procedures
· Abrade the surface of porcelain to etch with a medium grit bur to remove the glazed surface and to create space for a sufficient layer of composite resin. Rinse all debris from the porcelain surface with copious amounts of water and dry with air spray.
· Apply DentoBond Porcelain Etch to the porcelain surface with a small brush or instrument. Let undisturbed for 60s.
· Rinse the porcelain thoroughly with water to remove completely the etching and dry well. The etched porcelain should have a frosted white appearance. If not, repeat the procedure.
· Brush DentoBond Porcelain Silane on etched porcelain surface and dry well with air spray.
